AMD Ryzen 9000x3d v-cache release date revealed

AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series launch has faced some criticism, with enthusiasts labeling it as one of the least impressive releases in the Ryzen lineup, which started back in 2017. However, AMD may turn things around with the upcoming release of the Ryzen 9000X3D models, featuring 3D V-Cache technology. These processors could potentially be some of the best gaming CPUs available, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details.

expected models and release date

The Ryzen 9000X3D lineup is expected to include the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D. The release date for these models remains uncertain, but there is speculation that they could launch by the end of this year, potentially around the same time as Intel’s Arrow Lake-S processors and Core Ultra 2 CPUs.

Historically, AMD has released its 3D V-Cache models several months after the standard versions. For example, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D was released just seven months after the Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series. This timeline suggests that we could see the Ryzen 9000X3D models launching within a similar timeframe, possibly aligning with Intel’s upcoming releases.

past 3d v-cache releases

AMD has only released two generations of X3D models so far: the 5000-series and 7000-series. The first 3D V-Cache model, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, launched nearly 18 months after the initial Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series. This inconsistent release schedule makes it difficult to predict exactly when the Ryzen 9000X3D processors will be available, but all signs point to a launch before the end of 2024.
